Panasonic serves up speedy scanner

Panasonic has launched two new high-speed scanners which can process numerous documents of different thickness and size at the same time.

With high-speed duplex scanning, the KV-S1057C can scan 65 pages per minute whilst the KV-S1027C can scan 45 pages per minute. 100 sheets can be placed on the automatic document feeder using a gate mechanism which avoids paper feed problems and skewing.

The compact size of the scanner allows it to conveniently fit into small spaces, whilst a document feed specifically designed for IDs and passports makes it particularly suitable for hotel receptions.  Panasonic Product Marketing Manager, Carlos Osuna said, “The new scanners are suitable for a variety of applications in businesses small or large. The unique document feed system helps save staff time whilst allowing various documents, from paper to plastic cards, to be scanned simultaneously, helping reduce hassle.

“Compared to other desktop scanners in its class, Panasonic’s KV-S10X7 series proves to be the fastest in operation as well as being able to hold the most documents for scanning at one time. Alongside that, its stylish, compact design makes it a great desktop scanner.” One-touch scanning allows settings to be made with a single button, with up to 100 job settings stored; suitable for those who scan documents repeatedly.

The new scanner can process paper with various thicknesses, from 20gsm to 413gsm, embossed ID cards, passports and more.
